Upload or posts soft copies of your finished copies in Production Bin Track 2. In between days when you are completing the activities, it is essential that you send a daily update via email to librarian@beaconacademy.ph.

Information Sources - Activity #2: Order in Chaos
This photo was taken after an earthquake (1994). The shop is a small bookstore in Los Angeles, California. Look at the books and other printed materials in the chaotic book shop. If you were to put the books, gadgets, equipment and furniture in an organized manner, how would you do it? What would you consider in re-organizing the book shop.
Make a floor plan identifying the order of things in the new book shop.

a. Go to Beacon Academy Mail
b. Click Site to lead you to Academy Library, the website of Beacon Academy Library
c. Read the Home page and the Locate and Access Page
d. When you have finished reading those pages, go to OPAC links and explore the Beacon Academy Library Web OPAC
d. Answer the following questions:
1. How is the library organized?
2. Why are there different collections and areas?
3. Think of a bookstore. How different is it to a library? Give at least three differences and support your answer with a statement.
4. In your exploration of the Web OPAC, how do you think can it help you in your research and locating of resources?
Evaluation of Sources - Activity#4: Like or Unlike
a. Login to World Book Online
b. Go to World Book Student - How to Do Research and click Conduct Your Research
c. Read on Primary and Secondary sources, and Electronic sources.
d. Get one example of a secondary source, your favorite blog, wiki and website and evaluate it using these rubrics Evaluation of Sources - Secondary Sources
This means you are evaluating four kinds of information sources. Your evaluation should have the name of the electronic sources and bibliographic data of the secondary source, along with the rubrics and answers to questions.
